Make a Difference Day – May 21, 2017

What if… There was a day set aside to participate in projects that make a positive difference in people’s lives, even your own? You can have an incredible impact locally by gathering items to be re-purposed by community organizations. You could also join a team to volunteer in our neighborhood!

Bring your items to our collection trucks on Sunday, May 21, from 10am-1pm at Christ Church, corner of Harlem and Saratoga Roads in Amherst. We will have a shredding truck onsite, as well as the Daily Bread Food Truck. Opportunities to sign up to be an organ and/or bone marrow donor will be available, as well as workshops by the WNY Peace Center about racial and environmental justice issues. We will be collecting: clothing, electronics and technology items to be recycled, non-perishable food items, and items for male and female veterans.

There’s a spot for you! We have teams impacting our neighborhood through gardening, spring cleaning, crafting, etc. If you would like to volunteer with one of our teams on May 21, please call 839-2460 or email cumc350@gmail.com. Teams will gather at the church at 9:17am.

Let’s make a difference together!
