Dress Our People is a completely open and non-denominational mission project that encourages community involvement. It was started in 2005 in Cortland, New York, at Cortland United Methodist Church by Debbie Underwood.Currently, Dress Our People clothing has gone to over 20 different countries with more than 10,000 pieces of clothing being sent.

Dress Our People Local

Be the Church 2012Here at Christ Church, the Dress Our People project began on May 20, 2012, during the “Be the Church” Sunday. Since then, we have  completed more than 300 dresses and shorts for the children in Uganda.

This group is lead by Peggy Nye and meets monthly on Thursday afternoons to cut, sew, and package items of clothing. All are welcome to help- no sewing experience required!
